What is the Membership Team?
The objectives of the Membership Team are to promote Guiding, recruit members and retain our existing ones. The first involves getting Guiding out into the community, by utilising the media to best advantage and marketing Guiding as a positive, active choice for today’s women. Secondly, there is no doubt that Guiding needs more people if we are to increase our numbers well into the next century, therefore recruitment in conjunction with the training team, advisors and executive is another integral part of the role.
And lastly retaining the people that we have is also crucially important. Our members are our best advocates, and they need to be valued and thanked for their contributions.
The membership team welcomes suggestions from any district about good news stories, whether it be a new initiative that has worked really well or a group of people who simply make up an awesome team. Or if you have any questions about events and promotions in your area, feel free to contact us!
