Thinking Day 2004

Greetings All Pippins, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Leaders and Families
We are delighted that we can have a double celebration this year….Thinking Day and the Teddy Bears' Picnic fall on the same day: Sunday 22nd February.
Thinking Day is a special day, all around the world, for Guides and Scouts when we celebrate the birthdays of our founders: Lord & Lady Baden Powell.
We would like to invite you and your family to join us at for a Thinking Day Service in the Domain before the start of the Teddy Bear's Picnic at midday.
Meet at 11am Sunday 22nd February on the hill (behind the museum and opposite the Grand Stand in the Domain - follow the balloons/look for Guide uniforms)
All astute Leaders please note that the time is different to the advertised 1pm in our 2004 Calendar
- So please:
- come in Ranger/Guide/Brownie/Pippin uniform
- Bring along teddy (preferably dressed in guiding uniform too!) - prizes for best dressed etc
- Bring along a picnic lunch and stay on to enjoy the Teddy Bear's Picnic
- Gold coin for collection
Don't forget your sunhat and sunscreen. If wet we will gather around the grand stand (please bring your most colourful umbrellas!)

Dawn Service
For those early risers, the dawn Thinking Day Service at 6.30am on top of Mt Eden will also be taking place. This has been a tradition for almost 70 years. This year Southwest Rangers invite you to climb Mt Eden and be one of the first to welcome Thinking Day.
