A lively, exciting, active and daring weekend for Guides New Zealand young leaders at Otimai, Auckland on Friday 29 July at 8.00pm to Sunday 31 July at 3.00pm 2005.

Young leaders will be considered for acceptance providing they meet the following criteria

• you must be between the ages of 18 and 30
• you must hold a current appointment
• you must send a written statement (no longer than A4 sheet) with your application form stating
• your experience in Guiding and your current role
• explaining why you wish to attend the training
• something about your personal work/education/ life
• what you think you will bring to the training.

The programme will be broad ranging and exciting including

developing leadership and teamwork skills
• promoting community action
• looking at issues facing Guiding and young people today
• building up problem solving and life skills
• responding to physical challenges
• exploring the spiritual dimension
